HONORING JAMIE BRENNAN AND SEAN MACDONALD
Once a Yellow Jacket, Always a Yellow Jacket
Beyond their contributions to their teams’ successes, Jamie and Sean exuded enthusiasm for their sports, their teammates and the CYAA community. Both are remembered fondly and, as the team slogan states, Once a Yellow Jacket, Always a Yellow Jacket.
The CYAA Yellow Jackets Scholarship was created in 2023 to honor Jamie Brennan and Sean MacDonald. Funds are awarded annually to former CYAA athletes to assist with higher education expenses. Jamie and Sean were multi-sport competitors, but shared playing on Yellow Jackets teams; both on New Hampshire State Championship title winning teams. Their names can be found on banners hanging in the CYAA indoor facility.
The CYAA Scholarship is managed by Candia Dollars for Scholars. Qualified applicants must be former Candia Youth Athletic Association athletes, regardless of town of residence; have participated in two or more seasons in CYAA recreational and/or travel sports; and provide a written statement addressing what being a CYAA athlete meant to them.
